Birthday Parties

Celebrate with us! We have birthday parties down to a science. 

Each birthday party includes:

$200 member/$220 non-member
  • Two-hour rental of a private room: for an additional fee, a second room may be available upon request.
  • Free admission for up to 40 people total (children and adults)
  • Party bags with Discovery Space prizes for up to 20 children
  • A personal party host to cater to your needs, assisting with set-up and clean-up, ensuring that your party is a success!
  • Additional child/party favor over 20 kids: $5

Want to add to the fun? For an additional fee, choose from one of these programs:

  • Colorful Chemistry Painting: Experiment with chemistry and learn how it can be used to make your very own work of art! (Ages 6+) $60 for up to 20 kids, each additional child is $5

  • Glow in the Dark Slime: Children will become scientists as they test and create their own slimy concoction. (Ages 6+) $60 for up to 20 kids, each additional child is $5

  • Ooey-Gooey Science: Is it a liquid or a solid? Use your senses to explore Discovery Space goo, then the goo becomes your canvas as you create your own work of art! (Ages 4+) $60 for up to 20 kids, each additional child is $5

  • Marine Fossils: Fossils tell us about our planet and how it has changed! Learn about Earth’s oceans and create a fossil. (Ages 5+) $90 for up to 20 kids, each additional child is $5

Parties Are Held

  • Saturdays 11am-1pm and 2-4pm
  • Sundays 11am-1pm and 2-4pm

After reserving your party date, you may make a secure online deposit and print at home your Discovery Space birthday party invitations.

You May Bring

  • Food and beverages (to be kept in the party room; sorry, no refrigeration available)
  • Paper products and utensils
  • Additional party favors or decorations

Have Your Next Birthday Party At The Rivet

Pottery Wheel Throwing

$320  |  Best for ages 10-adult
  • Each person will learn to center clay and throw on the wheel and can make their own piece that will be fired and glazed by a staff member and ready for pick up 4-5 weeks after the party.
  • Two-hour rental of a private room for eating and celebrating (by request, pending availability).
  • One hour of pottery wheel instruction for up to 6 people.
  • Additional people can be added for $15 each (8 maximum).

  • $100 non-refundable deposit
  • $100 cleaning fee

Instructor Led Class at The Rivet

  • Jewelry Classes Available: Forged Cuff, Precious Metal Stacking Rings
  • Pottery Classes Available: Crash course in throwing, Carved Lantern Class
    • Embrace the maker spirit at your next event and consider learning a new skill with one of our instructors. Choose from either pottery and/or jewelry and we will work with you to create the perfect class for you.

Marine Life Room

  • Price: $50/hour
  • Our Marine Life Room features a 100-gallon saltwater tank with marine invertebrates including sea stars and hermit crabs, as well as ocean fish. Visitors will get a chance to learn about marine animals, plants, algae, corals, and more! Our Marine Life Educator will be available to answer any questions you may have.
