Summer Camp 2024
Discovery Space is pleased to offer a full schedule of in-person camps for the summer! Each camp is a week-long set of activities based on a unique STEM theme.
Camp runs from 9am to 4pm or as a half-day from 9am-12pm. Add extended or before care for an additional fee and drop off as early as 8am and pick up as late as 5:30pm.
Member Registration: January 24 at 9am

Read it, Think it, Build it: June 10-14- FULL

Transform the classroom into a science-themed arcade! Try your hand at daily challenges and then create an arcade cabinet with your team.

It’s time to don your chef’s hat and lab coat as we cook up the perfect pairing between the culinary arts and chemistry!
Far Out Forecasters: July 1-3 (3-Day)

Passionate about STEM? Join us in igniting excitement by building Little Free LABraries across State College! This camp is for ages 11-14.
Glow camp is an opportunity for self-identifying females and nonbinary individuals to gain leadership, construction, and design skills in fields where females are traditionally underrepresented.
A Riveting Mystery: June 17-21

Banish boredom and dive into board game creation. Craft custom characters, strategic challenges, and create your own unique story!
Instrumental Innovators: July 1-3 (3-Day)

Create and decorate an array of instruments and make your soundtrack of summer. This 3-day camp is inspired by the words of Arthur O’Shaughnessy, “Unleash your inner music-maker and dreamer of dreams.”
DIY Masters: July 15-19

Learns the tools and tips of the trade behind mass market creation of everyday objects using three different molds and four different casting materials all created by YOU! This camp is for ages 11-14.
Funfair Fabricators: July 22-26

Amuse and delight as we step into world of arcades and games of chance. Delve into game design, test your skills, and create an eye-catching carnival game.

How To Register
Discovery Space members can register for camps starting Wed, Jan 24 at 9am. Non-members can register starting Wed, Feb 7. Enter the online registration portal or read the registration instructions.
Please Note: Age groups for camps ensure that we meet the developmental needs of our campers, while also providing a fun and engaging STEM experience for all participants. Your child should be registered for camps that match their age as it will be on August 31, 2024.
Cancellation Policy
If canceling more than 14 days prior to the first day of camp, you may transfer to another camp (space permitting) or receive a refund minus a $50 administration fee.
If canceling fewer than 14 days prior to the first day of camp, you may transfer to a later camp (space permitting). No refund requests will be honored.
